To provide quality child care in a Christian setting in order to nurture in each child an attitude of love and respect for
themselves as persons, to be concerned for others, to have a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around
them, and to experience the joy of learning for its own reward. Through communication and involvement of
parents/guardians, the Program aims to strengthen the family unit.
Founded in 1961, First Congregational Learning Center began as a nursery school and family life program. Always at the center of the community, the center started as a week day nursery school program to help family experience in church. When transitioning to a childcare center, the program continued to uphold those family centric beliefs for the past 62 years.
